How I Replaced Six Apps (and $200/mo) with All-in-One AI

I saved about $200 monthly by cutting AI subscription costs from $220 to $30 by replacing multiple AI apps with a single all-in-one AI platform.

If you're anything like me, your browser probably looks like an AI graveyard. ChatGPT for brainstorming, Claude for deep analysis, Midjourney for images, Perplexity for research, Zapier for integrations, and a few other “must-have” AI tools. But here's the problem: it wasn't just time-consuming, it was expensive. My tab bar was a rainbow of subscriptions. I was paying:

  • $20/month for ChatGPT Plus

  • $20/month for Claude Pro

  • $30/month for Midjourney

  • $50/month for Zapier

Extra for Gemini, API credits, and other new tools I was testing. That didn’t include the time I wasted switching between tabs, tools, and interfaces.

Why I switched to an All-in-one AI platform

Last year, I finally decided to simplify things for myself. I used one weekend to test out a few all-in-one AI tool that combines chat, image generation, voice, file handling, automation, and web browsing into a single workspace. To my surprise, that one switch slashed my subscription cost to just $30/month. Good riddance to app-hopping, subscription fatigue, and integration headaches. I'm just a girl(screams internally).

I became less overwhelmed and more productive.

Why is an All-in-one AI platform beating six separate apps?

So what exactly do you gain by switching to a unified Al platform?!” – I'm sure that you're asking me.

Let’s be real: juggling six Apps is very stressful. As someone who used to switch between Claude, Stable Diffusion, Zapier, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and more. Here are some benefits I have enjoyed and why I won’t go back

  • One login, one bill, zero headache: I don't have to juggle six logins, reset forgotten passwords, or even track bills every month. With just one sub, everything is under control. Peace of mind>>>>>>>

  • You get to pick the best model for every task: we all know that different AIs have different strengths. But now, my all-in-one workspace lets me use them all in the same chat window. No more copy-paste between different chatbots. I literally switch between different AI models like a TV channel.

  • A unified workspace (lucky me): No more app hopping, everything happens in one place. My chats, image generation, data analysis, and even automations are all in the same place. It feels like I am working with an assistant.

  • Built-in security and team controls: Previously,6 apps =6 security setups  = 6 migraines (you can imagine right!). With this one platform, you can easily manage who has access to what. For example, most all-in-one platforms offer built-in features like SOC 2 compliance, role-based permissions, usage caps, and audit logs in just one dashboard.

  •  Real savings; An all-in-one AI tool slashed my budget. Currently, my entire stack costs me $15-30 /month and it does more.

As someone who has a lot of AI tools. I’ve narrowed down the top all-in-one platforms that save time, money, and sanity. No more switching between five different tabs to write a blog post, run research, or generate a product image.

Why I chose Writingmate (And who should pick that)

After conducting a series of tests on a couple of these platforms. I chose Writingmate as my daily driver. With Writingmate, I have access to over 200AI models, and I can do a side-by-side comparison of up to four models. That feature alone stood out to me because I was able to get quality results in less time.

Writingmate has a web search, voice chat which makes you ask questions with your voice and have the AI read the answers aloud. You can upload PDFs, spreadsheets, and get instant answers inside a single chat. A new visual canvas and additional file management system are rolling out soon. I can’t wait to explore it.

Let’s be real; the best All-in-one AI for you depends on your needs. If you are the type whose workflow requires a lot of visuals, you might choose Ninjachat. If you’re Privacy conscious, Magai prides itself as one of the few AI tools that offers zero data retention. Poe is the star kid for mobile users .It gives you quick access to niche Al. You can also decide to pick You.com Pro if your work revolves around live research.

Most of these platforms offer free trials, so you don’t have to commit upfront. My advice? Set aside some time to try two or more and see which one ticks all your boxes.

Try it yourself: A 10-minute AI pilot plan

Think of this as a “try before you cry “ approach. Here is a quick 10-minute play to help you get started:

  • Pick one repetitive task: Cost sintering you do regularly like your weekly newsletter, monthly report, or your social media post to experiment with

  • Choose a Platform and sign up: You can pick any of the all-in-one platforms. Sign up for a free or trial plan

  • Feed it real content: You can upload your PDFs, spreadsheets, or any real materials  the AI can use

  • Set one clear success metric: Do you want to reduce your time by 60%? Improve the quality of writing? Or even generates a better image for your content?! Define how you’ll measure the tool's impact on your task

  • Test for two weeks: Use the AI tools consistently and track your results to see if it works

Quick tip: Start small, Think Big

Start with a task you tackle at least weekly. The more familiar you get with the task on the platform, the faster you’ll  notice where and how the AI saves your time and builds your confidence

All-in-one AI platforms FAQs

1. What is an All-in-one AI platform?

Answer: It is a single tool that combines multiple AI capabilities into a single unified workspace. Instead of using five different apps, you get everything in one place.

2. Why not keep using Multiple AI chatbot apps?

Answer: Sure, they work! But are they working for you? With an all-in-one tool you get; One workspace, one bill, one login, zero tab chaos

3. Are there any downsides to all-in-one AI tools?

Answer: Truth?! A Jack of all trades might not master every single task like a hyper-specialized tool (yet!).

4. How do I choose the right all-in-one AI tools for me

Ans: It depends on your priorities. It could be privacy, budget, speed, or task.

You can start with a free/ trial plan and test what works for you.

5. Will I still need other AI apps?

Ans: From my personal experience, almost not. About 90% of my AI tasks now happen inside one platform. I still keep a couple of niche Plug-ins that I rarely use.

Was it worth switching to all-in-one?

In my case – absolutely yes! It was one of the smartest tech decisions I made last year. I still keep a few specialized tools for my niche tasks, like Loops and Originality. But my spending went from $220 to less than $30 a month, and even the bigger win was reclaiming my mental space.

No more “which app was the draft in?”, “Where is the analysis for these PDFs?”

I now have fewer tabs and fewer distractions.

If you're currently juggling multiple Al subscriptions in 2025, I highly recommend starting small. Use the 10-minute pilot plan and see what an all-in-one AI can do for you.

Let me know how your trial goes. I'm always curious which platform clicks for different people.
