Using Shortcuts

Writingmate provides a quick command palette to streamline your workflow.

Command Palette (CMD+K / Ctrl+K)

Press CMD+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open the command palette. This gives you quick access to:

  • Search - Find chats, prompts, and agents
  • New Chat - Start a fresh conversation
  • Switch Models - Quickly change AI models
  • Access Settings - Jump to various settings

The command palette is the fastest way to navigate Writingmate without using your mouse.

Slash Commands in Chat

You can also use slash commands directly in the chat input:

  • Type / to see available prompts from your prompt library
  • Type @ to mention and activate an agent

These shortcuts work to streamline your interaction with Writingmate, making your sessions smoother and faster.
