You now can use Claude 4 from anywhere in the world. Here is my comprehensive guide on using Claude 4 in unsupported countries, and some truth about trying to use Claude 4 with VPN.
Maybe you have recently switched places, or just are living somewhere where digital services get blocked. There are, indeed, places where Claude AI in its native chatbot and through direct API, does not work even in 2025. In my article there are several ways to overcome this and to use Claude AI in any place of the world.

What is Claude 4 and Ways to Use it: Comparison Table
Claude 4 is the newest-gen set of AI models and most recent as of 2025. It is a lot more capable, stable, and human-like than any previous version. There are two main models to it:
Claude 4 Sonnet, a balanced model that combines strong reasoning with quick responses. It’s ideal for writing, research, in my experience, everyday business use, offering high accuracy, better context understanding.
Claude 4.1 Opus, the most advanced and powerful model in the Claude 4 family. Serves well for complex analysis, long-form content creation, coding, deep reasoning.
So, those two models differ from each other, and here I came up with a table of ways to use those for your tsks, even it your region is not supported.

Claude 3 Supported and Unsupported Countries
Unlike what was before, in 2025, Claude is now available in most parts of the world. This includes US, Canada, the United Kingdom, nearly all of Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea, other countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Anthropic has made it clear that Claude is not available in mainland China or a few other restricted places due to local laws and security rules. People and companies in supported countries can use Claude through its website, API, or tools like Claude Code (claude code might not be available in your country mistake). Others may see a message saying the service is not available in their region if it is not. There are still ways to use Claude without directly interacting with Claude chatbot.

Use Claude 3 From Supported Countries

Access to Claude 3 in Unsupported Countries
You’ve probably seen questions like “Claude AI isn’t working in my country” or “Can I log in from Canada or Europe?” pop up online. And in case you live in a place that Claude.ai doesn’t officially support, that may sound familiar & you’ll likely run into a message during sign-up telling you the service isn’t available in your region.
There is a way out of this situation. Below I have put together a list of ways and services to help you get around regional restrictions and use Claude.ai login from any country.
Claude 4 with WritingMate, from Any Place

To use this feature, you first need an API key. After getting the key, simply sign up for free and begin using the Opus model. Claude 4 with VPN: be Careful!
There is plenty of advice on using VPN services to bypass Claude.ai's country restrictions on the internet. However, we advise caution in doing so.
A simplest thing one can suggest is to use VPN or some proxies to connect to Claude from, seemingly, another countries servers. So, surfshark, tunnelbear and protons of the world indeed can change your virtual location. Many of these services offer a free trial, allowing you to use them at no cost for a certain period. However, using them to access Claude 3 via a VPN is risky becase all of your data comes through someone's servers.
Another reason to be careful: after you change your location and pay for Claude 3, you might be detected and banned by Anthropic. Companies don't like their policies being bypassed. Check this thread on Reddit. It may happen, or it may not, but we want you to be aware of the risks. Therefore, using this method is your choice and remember that there are other alternatives, like using Claude indirectly with all-in-one chatbots.
Conclusion
Claude 4 is still not accessible in some countries, with China being an example of that. But actually using Claude even in those regions is possible, either through VPN trickery or just by using tools like writingmate.ai.
There are certainly ways to bypass geographical restrictions and use even the previous Haiku, Sonnet, and newest Opus 4.1 . It's a shame not to use such advanced AI technologies in 2025, as Claude 4 Sonnet is still one of the top performing AI models together with other models by Anthropic.
Especially if you are Enterprise and business user, be sure to comply with local laws or regulations on business internet use, technology access and similar paragraphs. If everything is in check, try to maximize your engagement with Claude 4 and other AI models.
